Snowfox Discovery, a natural hydrogen exploration company, and 45-8 Energy, a company focused on natural hydrogen and helium exploration, today announce the signing of a Strategic Collaboration Agreement. This partnership aims to assess the potential of selected high-value areas for natural hydrogen exploration.

By combining their respective technical expertise, methodologies, and exploration workflows, the two companies seek to accelerate the identification of natural hydrogen accumulations. This collaboration reflects a shared ambition to position themselves at the forefront of a rapidly emerging energy sector.
Unlike green or blue hydrogen, which require significant energy input or carbon capture infrastructure, natural hydrogen is generated through ongoing geological processes within the Earth’s crust. It therefore represents a promising primary energy source with a near-zero carbon footprint and potentially lower production costs.
Snowfox Discovery CEO, Daniel McMahon, says:
“We are delighted to work with 45-8 Energy. Building upon previous announcements, this strategic partnership demonstrates our commitment to driving the natural hydrogen industry forward by bringing together two of the leading exploration companies globally. We believe that our combined skill sets will enable us to unlock world-class opportunities and secure a meaningful first-mover advantage in this exciting sector.”
Benoît Hauville, Cofounder and Chief Executive of 45-8 ENERGY, commented:
"This collaboration reflects our strong belief in the value of regional strategic partnerships to develop robust and multidisciplinary exploration approaches. We are delighted to work with Snowfox Discovery and are convinced that our combined expertise will drive the successful identification of high-potential exploration areas."
The location of the study areas remains confidential.
